Been awhile

Sorry for such a long break in between posts..been so busy. Ayden's now 17 lbs and about a foot and a bit tall..he's eating veggies now and very particular about what he eats. We've discovered that he HATES green beans with a passion..I think the screams of agony and the fact that he spit it out in my face were clear indications of that. Some days he loves carrots, other days squash or sweet potatoes..it differs each day.

Ayden has also been swimming..and he is not a fish..yet. But he looks sooo cute in his little trunks..and he enjoys the warm water that I think he'll get to like the water more and more each visit.

He's still teething - no teeth yet- and he's starting to roll now. Today was his first roll! And the final new phenomenon with the little man is that he LOVES being NAKED! Like father like son I guess.. ;o)

Teething....the joys of.....

Hey all!

Long time no write!

Well, as you can see, Ayden is getting super big! I haven't the foggiest on his weight, but I'd hazard to guess that he's about 17lbs or so! And he's still teething..which has been a "joy". I just wish he'd cut a tooth already to make the misery worth while. And it seems that there really is nothing out there that works. Some days Orajel, other days he's on Tylonel and then some times some herbal stuff..nothing is consistant...just one giant guessing game! All I can say is that our son is one huge puddle of drool, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Well..gotta get back to puddles..We'll keep posting as often as we can!

Just a quick update!

Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd post some recent photos of our munchkin! He's doing well..teething now, so as you can imagine, he's pretty miserable lately...and very drooly! Ayden is about 3.5 months old now and still growing like a weed (as you can see from his pictures - he was in a good mood here).

Tummy Time and other Milestones

Well..I guess all that tummy time has been paying off because Mister Ayden is NEVER wanting to lay on his back anymore. All he ever wants to do is sit up or try "standing". Our little man is becoming very "independant". And let me tell you, when he doesn't get his way..you'd better watch out (poor boy has his mommy's temper)!

Ayden is approximately 15lbs, although he doesnt go for another check up for a few weeks- but I'd bet its a good or close guesstimate. He's started teething now - lots of drool...- and believe me, he lets you know when he's tired now. Aside from the rubbing of the eyes, the shrieks and screams are a dead give away! We've been eating pablum for a few weeks now ( some pictures of that disaster are on a previous blog) and he seems to be doing well on it. We actually get to sleep longer than 4 hour stints..its great. Again, I will NEVER take sleep for granted again! He's doing so well..its great! He recognizes voices and faces now and is right on course for his age level..some things he's even surpassed..its amazing and yet scary...my little boy is growing up! Boo hoo! I'm sure there will be other milestones to follow, and when they do, I'll be sure to let you all know!

Merry Christmas!

Hey everyone and happy holidays!

Everything is and has been so incredibly hectic, we've been going non stop! Its been great to see everyone though - especially family!

Mr. Ayden got extremely spoiled this Christmas - lots of clothes and lots of toys! His favourites so far are the baby Einsteins, the Robeezes from aunty Jen, his many Christmas sleepers and his chew rings ( he appears to be teething already!).

As you can see..there have been a few milestones hit over the holidays. Ayden began eating pablum - his first solid food! He is also bathing in a big boy bath tub (with the help of mom and dad) . Our little man is growing up too quickly! Next I'll be sending him away to college!

We've gotta say sorry to those we never got to see this past holiday...all the running around put us tight to see everyone in such a short period of time..but we promise next time!

December 17 2006- Ayden's Baptism

Hey everyone! Long time no write..I know..we're horrible! The holidays were so hectic..but it was really nice to get everyone together and see everyone!

I'm not going to write much for this blog entry because its pretty self explanatory - Ayden's baptism. He was baptised back home on the 17th of December. He was such a good boy..he slept through the entire baptism! It was kind of funny..not even the water woke this little man up!

Thanks to all those that could make it and thanks to all those who sent their warmest!

First smiles

Hey everyone..so so sorry it took so long to get a new post going! We've been super busy running around to doctors appointments and getting the Christmas shopping done in time! According to the doctor, the little man is doing great..having already doubled his birth weight - 12.13lbs!. We've already noticed tons of changes in him and lots of progress. He smiles and interacts with us a lot more and he's even started laughing a bit and making some vowel sounds..its great! We can't wait for the next stages!

Another great development is that we've finally got him sleeping in his own room in his crib. Its been heaven..we have never been so proud..as sad as that sounds. But getting sleep, even if it is 4-5 hours, in your own bed is the best feeling ever!

Anyway..sorry so short..but we promise that there will be plenty more pics to come..what with the baptism and Christmas coming up!

Santa Claus is coming....

Hey everyone!

Sorry its been so long since the last post...we've been super busy with the little man! He is now 6 weeks old and growing like a weed! We've already grown out of several diaper shirts, sleepers and majority of his baby socks! Time flies. But the good thing is he can now fit into a lot of the other clothes we've got stored away for him - instead of always being in sleepers, we've got some snazzy outfits to dress him up in.

I love that he's getting bigger, but part of me wishes he'd stay small forever. However, each new day brings new things..like the other day he just started to do a real smile..it was great! And now he's going through another growth spurt...and we had our first picture with Santa Claus..although he slept right through it and will probably never remember any of it...it was worth the 20 minutes we waited in line!

Anyway..keep checking the blog..I'll try and keep on top of the pics and keep everyone updated!
